Biography:
Prof. Somaye Mohammadi is an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Sharif University of Technology since February 2023. She earned her BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. She completed a seven-month postdoctoral fellowship at Sharif University of Technology's Mechanical Engineering Department from June 2022 to January 2023. Her research interests include condition monitoring, vibration and acoustic analysis, industrial gearboxes, and machine learning. She has contributed to approximately five industrial projects focused on intelligent fault diagnosis, remaining useful life prediction, root cause failure analysis, vibration analysis, and modal analysis. Mohammadi has published about 13 journal papers and presented 31 conference papers. She serves on the board of directors for the Iranian Society of Acoustic and Vibration (ISAV) and the Iranian Society of Engineering Education (ISEE). From 2023 to 2025, she was the executive secretary of the Condition Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis (CMFD) Conference. Since November 2023, she has been the Director of Public Relations for the Mechanical Engineering Department at Sharif University of Technology and also acts as the deputy of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Center in the same department.
