Biography:
Prof. Sanaa El Filali is Vice-Dean in charge of Partnerships and Communication at Hassan II University of Casablanca and a leading expert in artificial intelligence and digital innovation. With over two decades of experience, her work spans AI, deep learning, cybersecurity, and natural language processing.
Her research focuses on next-generation AI for Arabic and underrepresented languages, combining transformer models and graph neural networks to capture complex linguistic meaning and cultural context.
Beyond academia, she plays a key role in building innovation ecosystems by connecting universities, industry, and startups. Through initiatives such as Atlashack and AI communities, she actively contributes to developing AI talent and advancing digital transformation in Africa.
